In 2003, my husband and I retired from our Federal Government jobs and moved to St. Augustine Beach, FL. Jerry served in the US Submarine Force until retiring in 1989 after 29 years and went to work for the Federal Government. I had served 32 years in the government, most recently at the Branch Medical Clinic, Naval Air Station, Oceana. Retirement had seemed so far away but a family emergency hurried our decision to move to Florida. Additionally, our daughter gave birth to our beautiful twin granddaughters, Ayla and Charlotte, in Fort Lauderdale, FL and it was inevitable we would be closer to them. We have enjoyed living in many different states and Guam (thanks to the military) but settling down in St. Augustine has been wonderful.
