Moved to Alexandria VA a few miles south of Washington DC in 1969 with a two month old baby and husband and stayed. Began college at Connecticut College in New London CT and completed several degrees after relocating to DC: George Washington University, BA in Psychology, Catholic University of America, MA in School Psychology, Georgetown University, MBA. Worked as a School Psychologist in DC Public Schools for 6 years. Have been involved with MetroStage, a professional theatre in Alexandria since 1984. As the Producing Artistic Director I have built three theatres and since 2001 we are been in a converted lumber warehouse. I produce a season of plays and musicals every year, often times world premieres. My four children are Jennifer Griffin, the national security correspondent for Fox News (currently covering Hillary Clinton's campaign) who lives in DC with her husband Greg Myre, foreign news editor, NPR, and my three grandchildren Annalise, Amelia and Luke Myre; John Griffin, VP Americas Sales, Numerix, West Hartford, CT, Caitlin Griffin, Director of Sales, Rose Tarlow Melrose House (interior design), Los Angeles, CA; Cassie Griffin and her husband Conrad Gordon Grant, who live on a sheep farm in Molteno, South Africa.
